How to Put Sony NEX-FS100U AVCHD footage to Final Cut

The NEX-FS100U can shoot full 1080p video in a range of frame rates up to 60p. and the FS100 provides the option of recording 28Mbps AVCHD footage onto SD or Memory Stick media. We like shooting and playing HD MTS videos at 60p, but we can't get an enjoyment on editing these 60p AVCHD footgaes in FCP. To smoothly import Sony FS100 AVCHD to FCP X/6/7 for further editing, you'd better transcode unsupported MTS or all AVCHD files to videos with a compatible Prores .mov format for FCP X/6/7 before ingesting, thus you can directly bring Sony FS100 AVCHD files to FCP without any plugin.

Here we recommend you the AVCHD Video Converter for Mac. With it, you can convert all Sony FS100 AVCHD files to Apple ProRes 422 for editing with Final Cut Pro 6/7, Final Cut Pro X on Mac.
